Pinch Media on iPhone App Usage

Pinch Media released an awesome presentation about iPhone app usage. I haven't validated their data directly, but if it is accurate it has some very important implications for the companies who think they can make a business with free, ad supported apps.

Most of this is pretty well-known to entertainment and e-commerce people: the hit dynamics, the seasonality, the pricing strategies. But the sharp usage drop-offs suggest that for most apps -- not the highly used, sticky ones, but the vast majority of apps -- too few impressions are being generated to justify an ad model. The key slides are #23-#25.

  1. Thanks for delivering the post. This was pretty interesting to read what you are up to, yet in common I won't match with you since I have particular ideas in my head. I deem that it is entirely irrelevant to act this way in case we're discussing real life. Anyway, I wouldn't follow any of the suggesting you're providing.

  2. Thanks for delivering the article. It was quite okay to examine the thing you are saying, however in common I can't consent with you as I have various ideas on my mind. I suppose that it's completely unacceptable to do like this whether we are about the real life. At least, I would not keep to any of the recommendation you are supplying.

  3. Thank you for having written the post. It was nice to study what namely you are up to, however on the whole I cannot have the same opinion with you because I have certain judgements in my brain. I consider that it is entirely irrelevant to do this way if we are discussing everyday's life. In any case, I wouldn't keep a track on any of the recommendation you're providing.

  4. That is definitely right, long term application usage are rare. as per your post it is only 1%, it is 1 in a 100 to have one. Improving your apps will do the trick, I think?
